Cookies Policy

2. Types of cookies

Depending on which entity manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, two types can be distinguished:

  • First-party cookies: Those sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided.

  • Third-party cookies: Those sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies.

If cookies are installed from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself, but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered first-party cookies.

There is also a second classification based on the length of time the cookies remain stored in the client's browser, which may be:

  • Session cookies: Designed to collect and store data while the user is accessing a website. They are usually used to store information that is only relevant for providing the service requested by the user on a single occasion (e.g., a list of purchased products).

  • Persistent cookies: The data remain stored on the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a period defined by the party responsible for the cookie, which can range from a few minutes to several years.

Finally, there is another classification comprising six types of cookies according to the purpose for which the data obtained is processed:

  • Technical cookies: Those that allow the user to browse a website, platform, or application and use the various options or services available on it, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted-access areas, remembering the items that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process for an order, submitting a request for registration or participation in an event, using security elements during browsing, storing content for streaming videos or audio, or sharing content through social networks.

  • Personalization cookies: Allow the user to access the service with certain general characteristics predefined based on a series of criteria on the user's terminal, such as the language, the type of browser through which the service is accessed, the regional settings from which the service is accessed, etc.

  • Analytics cookies: Allow the party responsible for them to track and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of the websites, application, or platform and to build browsing profiles of the users of said sites, applications, and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data provided by the service’s users.

  • Advertising cookies: Allow the most efficient possible management of advertising spaces.

  • Behavioral advertising cookies: Store information on user behavior obtained through continuous observation of their browsing habits, which makes it possible to develop a specific profile to display advertising based on it.

  • External social network cookies: Used so that visitors can interact with content from different social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and are generated only for users of said social networks. The conditions of use of these cookies and the information collected are governed by the privacy policy of the corresponding social platform.

3. Disabling and deleting cookies

You have the option to allow, block, or delete the cookies installed on your device through the settings of the browser installed on your device. If you disable cookies, some of the available services may stop working. The method for disabling cookies is different for each browser, but it can usually be done through the Tools or Options menu. You can also consult the browser's Help menu, where you can find instructions. Users may at any time choose which cookies they want to be active on this website.
